Management of Yoshida Dormitory
Yoshida Dormitory is an important which serves the needs of Kyoto University students. Altogether, the dormitory’s boarding fee and utility costs come to about 30,000 yen per year. Entrance interviews for new residents are conducted by the students themselves. Factors such as a prospective entrant’s economic circumstances are considered in the selection process. To gain entrance to the dorm, an applicant must be a student at Kyoto University and must be deemed by the selection committee as someone who would adapt well to life in the dormitory. In principle, all decisions in dormitory meetings are made unanimously. We always look to make decisions that can satisfy all parties involved.
