Problems with the ageing of Yoshida Dormitory

The main section of Yoshida Dormitory consists of a wooden building that is over 100 years old. The building is bursting with character, but its structural issues are now becoming a serious problem. The Yoshida Dormitory Committee has already requested a number of times that the university conduct large scale repairs to the old section of the dorm. However, this has never occurred. In the following pages, we will explain the various issues which have arisen in the process of negotiation with the university over repairs to the dorm.
